Paricin 220, N-(2-hydroxyethyl) 12-hydroxystearamide, is a brittle, wax-like solid formed from the reaction of an amine with hydroxystearic acid. The formed hydroxystearamide is a high melting point wax-like material that is extremely resistant to acids and alkalies in contrast to natural and synthetic ester waxes. Paricin 220 has broad compatibility with natural and synthetic waxes, resins and polymers to provide excellent slip and lubricating properties
