Product Details

Paricin® 1, methyl hydroxystearate, is a waxy solid supplied as soft white flakes. Paricin® 1 functions as an internal lubricant and processing aid for butyl and EPDM rubber. It is resistant to oxidation, oil and water. Paricin® 1 has excellent pigment wetting characteristics and is compatible with most natural waxes.

Typical Applications

  • Reduces hysteresis and scorch tendency during rubber compound processing
  • Reduces surface tack in butyl rubber
  • Improves gloss in EPDM rubber based extrusion products
  • A source of hydroxystearic acid for glycerin-free multi-purpose lithium greases
  • Suntan Firming agent for cosmetics and specialty inks
