Product Details

Alugel 30 DF is produced from a high quality, animal derived fatty acid for grease, lacquer and polymer applications requiring a finely divided powder with good handling and feeding characteristics. Alugel 30 DF is insoluble in water, lower alcohols, esters and ketones, soluble in benzene, toluene, xylene, glycol, chlorinated hydrocarbons, mineral and vegetable oils.

Performance

Alugel 30 DF serves as a lubricant in the production of polyamides and thermosets. Alugel 30 DF has a strong gelification effect and is therefore used as thixotropic thickening agent in the production of varnishes and lacquers. As a gelling agent for oils it forms transparent, water repellent greases. Furthermore it is used as a hydrophobic agent in the building industry. The fine particle size distribution provides excellent dispersion properties in blending, compounding and extrusion equipment.
