Palmer Holland To Represent Biosynthetic® Technologies’ Environmentally Friendly Lubricant Additives

May 04, 2021
Cleveland, OH – May 4, 2021 – Palmer Holland, a North American specialty chemical and fine ingredient distributor, announces that it is partnering with Biosynthetic® Technologies as the exclusive North American distributor for its Biocea line of environmentally friendly, sustainable lubricant additives.

Palmer Holland will manage the promotion and inventory of the revolutionary new class of high-performance bio-based additives for metalworking fluids. These novel sustainable additives use the patented estolide technology and are biobased, biodegradable, non-bioaccumulative, and nontoxic.

Biocea additives deliver superior lubricity, film strength, biostability, hydrolytic stability, oxidation stability, and increased polarity on both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. They are derived from natural oils and improve the overall quality of formulated metalworking fluid. Biocea additives can increase productivity, reduce waste and downtime, and lower your overall manufacturing operation cost.

Biosynthetic® Technologies manufactures a revolutionary new class of biobased synthetic compounds called estolides. Estolides are made from organic fatty acids found in various bio-derived oils. They can be used as the primary base oil of a lubricant formulation, a component of a base oil co-blend, or even as an additive.

“Palmer Holland continuously focuses on bringing new and innovative technologies to our customer base and expanding our current portfolio by providing environmentally-friendly materials for the metalworking fluid market,” said Eric Kielts, Business Director – Industrial Lubricants at Palmer Holland. “By joining forces with Biosynthetic® Technologies, we can now support the growing needs of our customers in the rapidly growing market of environmentally friendly fluids and additives. The estolide technology used in the Biocea product line is groundbreaking. Not only do they deliver superior lubricity, film strength, biostability, hydrolytic stability, and oxidation stability, but they also provide increased polarity on both ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. We are truly excited with this product line expansion.”
