Effective April 16, 2012, Palmer Holland, Inc., will add the southeast region of the U.S. to its current distribution territory for Scott Bader. This will include the Specialty Polymers business with the exception of the textiles and carpet industries. Palmer Holland currently handles distribution for Scott Bader in 15 states, including New England, parts of NY and PA, and an area in the Midwest. Palmer Holland, Inc. will be carrying Texicryl®, Texipol® and Polidene® products. Some of the applications for these products include: high performance anticorrosive primers, flexible and water-resistant wall and roof coatings, graphic arts and flexible packaging inks and coatings, concrete sealers and admixtures, fire retardant and intumescent membranes, rust converters, ceramic tile adhesives, and thickeners for adhesives, cleaners and metal-working fluids. Established in 1921 and with its North American headquarters in Stow, OH, Scott Bader is a multinational chemical company employing 600 people worldwide, with manufacturing sites in Europe, Middle East, and South Africa. The product line represented by Palmer Holland includes vinylidene chloride copolymers, styrene acrylic emulsions, inverse emulsion thickeners and polyurethane dispersions.
