Caspol® 1962 is a 100% solids castor oil based reactive diluent with a blend of primary and secondary hydroxyls with a low molecular weight which gives this triol a high level of reactivity, higher hardness and strength, with a lower elongation than the other Caspol® diols and triols. Caspol® 1962 is a specially modified castor oil polyol which will impart improved coating properties such as chemical resistance, weatherability, flow and application properties.

Typical Applications

  • Formulation of 100% solids high performance polyurethane coatings
  • Low VOC UV resistant 2-component industrial maintenance coatings and thermosetting OEM coatings
  • Property improvements such as; hardness, adhesion, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance in coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomeric formulations
  • Low VOC force dry and bake topcoats and primers for plastics and metal
  • VOC and viscosity reduction in coatings, adhesives and sealants
  • Urethane Intermediates, Polymers
