Palmer Holland's Official Statement Regarding COVID-19

Read our official statement regarding the spread of the Coronavirus as of March 25, 2020
Inital Release: March 11, 2020
Updated: March 25, 2020
Palmer Holland, Inc. continues to keep a close eye on the worldwide spread of 2019/2020 COVID-19, commonly referred to as the Coronavirus. Our Executive and Commercial Leadership teams meet regularly to monitor the pandemic and its implications to North American chemical manufacturing and distribution. The discussions focus on understanding the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) and the State of Ohio's current recommendations and on making decisions about our employee's welfare and the potential impact on the supply chain from our principals and to our customers.
The chemical manufacturing and distribution industries are listed as essential under the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) Guidance on the Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce. While we transitioned all of our office-based staff to home offices, the designation of "essential" allows us, and our third-party warehouse/freight partners, to continue business operations even in those instances where employees must be physically present.
While the situation remains dynamic, we continue to work with our principals to understand any potential impact to supply or lead times. Our commercial team is in weekly contact with our suppliers to discuss the supplier's production as well as to understand any impact on feedstocks. At this time, we do not anticipate any notable negative effect on existing or future orders. If this should change, we will notify you promptly of the expected disruption in the supply of products for pending orders.
We understand that this is a stressful time. We will continue to do everything in our power to be a willing and adaptable partner for your specialty chemical and ingredient requirements.
Sincerely,
W. Bryn Irvine
CEO
